It is one of the most popular treks in the world due to its cultural and natural diversity. The trek starts from an altitude of less than 1000 m and passes through various settlements and farms. Settlements are declining from Dharapani and green forests are increasing. When you reach Timang, will appear a unique view of Manasalu in the opposite direction. From there comes Chame, the district headquarters of this region. There is a bit more activity of peoples with mixed culture. From Chame, you reach the village of Pisang through lush green forests and huge apple orchards. From there begins the complete Buddhist settlements with houses made of wood -mud. And surrounding scenery also becomes more open.

Then you get to beautiful Manang village enjoying with breathtaking mountain views. This village is at the foot of Annapurna 3rd and Ganga Purna Himalaya surrounding by various lakes, glaciers and caves. The beauty of this village is enhanced during buckwheat flower season  on August-September. From Manang a completely open yak pasture begins. The higher you climb, the more mountains appear all around. On the way blue ships find grazing on their own. Finally one of the world’s highest pass Thorong La is crossed.

When you cross Thorong La Mt. Dhaulagiri range appear at the vast Kaligandaki valley. The Kaligandaki Valley looks really adoreable with arid land. The Muktinath Temple, the holiest religious site in the area is also on the way. At the end journey will be over by reaching jomsom with experiencing the strong wind on the way.
